    Toko Visual / Toko Pro / Toko LITE   Installation

    There is a README file included in the package. Be sure to read it all before asking for help.
    There are only 5 steps in the installation...so lets start

    1. Using your FTP program, create a new directory on your website to hold the Toko program files.
    For example: /home/username/www/Toko

    2. This section is only for Toko Visual & Pro version, if you install the Toko Lite (free version) please continue to step 4.
    Open the "users.conf" file with a text editor and define the user name, password and the default configuration file (We recommend to use the default configuration file -> "toko.conf").
    use the self explained configuration file example to change your toko.conf
    (For more details please refer to the PDF supplied with the application)

    3. This section is only for Toko Lite version, if you install the Visual or Pro version please continue to step 4.
    Open the configuration file "toko.conf" file with a text editor and make any necessary adjustments to the default values for each setting. (The file is "self-documenting". This means that there is a description of each setting to help you understand what it does and how to adjust it.)

    4. Upload all the Toko files and folders into the new directory on the server.
    NOTE: The .html and .php files MUST be transferred in ASCII format (via FTP).
    The .gif, files MUST be transferred in BINARY format.

    5. Start the program to be sure it works.  The URL you must enter into your browser is the domain name and the toko directory as you defined in step 1. for example if your domain name is www.great.com and you created a Toko folder  in /home/username/www/Toko.
    then your url will be www.great.com/Toko.

    Configure Client Web Pages

    1. Using your web editing tool of choice (Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Notepad), open the file that you wish your client to be able of editting.

    2. Insert the following tags before and after each code you want your client to be able to edit:

    <!-- < tokoeditarea > -->
    Existing HTML goes between the toko tags ...
    <!-- </ tokoeditarea > -->

    3. Using your FTP program, upload the file to the server. (ASCII format)

    4. Change file permissions to read and write (so no "read only" check box in windows) in linux/unix give the file to at least 666 authorization. (File permissions can easily be set by using the CHMOD command feature within your FTP program.)

    Toko Web Editor will run with the same permissions as the web server software. Since most hosting companies run their web servers using the "nobody" user, Toko Web Editor will not be able to modify your web pages unless you first change their file permissions. (Your web pages are owned by whatever user you use to log into FTP.)

    5. Test the page to make sure everything is working correctly and that's all there is to it. Your page is now ready to be delivered to your client!

    NOTE: The demo.html and demo.xml page contains a sample of how the Toko tags
    should appear within a web page.

    Toko - Visual & Pro users have much more features, Please refer to the PDF supplied with your package.
